Sunday 28 November - Tours, pepper trees and posters

dawned cloudy. Early in the morning, two people were pepper trees planted in the field of the FUVA near the road leading to San Pablo. We do not know who they were, but I appreciate the cooperation to restore the burned area. Later we found that the trees were not watered. This may be a mistake, as a seedling, not to die, you need at least 10 liters of water after transplanting. A timely rain that fell after possibly helped correct the error. That same day, Ivan Daniel Renison posters were doing maintenance, painting the poles to impregntante to last longer. At noon was very cloudy and there were very few visitors. Elisa Riffo made the rounds, collecting some garbage and reaching the grill, where two families were recognized for their recommendations and the care of the place.

Wednesday, 1 December - Carp and fire

In the evening when there was almost no light, a young couple settled in the sand with a tent, without respecting the signs for the ban. Regardless of that time was also unstable and could have increased. I went to speak but did not want to go. I warned of the risk, and finally moved a little higher. Later, Elisa Riffo heard them breaking branches and told them he could not make fire or camping. They ignored the warning, and seeing the fire, both Tara and I, independently, call the police. The police, working with us, they were forced to extinguish the fire. A very early the next morning dismantled the tent.

Sunday 5 December - Tours

Sebastian We did the tour with the new ranger (see news). Trash together and speak with several visitors. A family who had seen the signs for the ban, was doing the roast between some rocks near the beach. We asked them to finish cooking the meat on the grill. We explained that if other visitors will see the posters, and also view them by fire, environmental standards were to be implausible. There were very angry because they knew they had been misled and left. Later we went to the barbecue industry, finding a group with loud music (the barriers not fully prevent some cars are near the grill). To our request, the music fell reluctantly. Later we went with Sebastian to talk to Leon, the new licensee of the bar of the FATF (see news). Finally, when Sebastian had gone to the area of the slope of the nightingale, I detected a couple making a fire in an area very close to sign with all the icons. In addition to not following the rules, they were using a tutor who had taken out of our trees to stoke the fire. Notice to the mine, extinguish the fire in a bad mood and left. Later I talked with an older couple who was having lunch the lunch box under the chillies quietly, and said they were very happy with all the care, beauty and tranquility of the place.

Monday December 6 - Identification and recovery of native shrubs and trees in the San Antonio River levels

Very good. Sixty students from fourth grade school in San Antonio, along with teachers, members of the Assembly ADARSA and South Punilla Awake, agents and Civil Defence community, sought, identified and recovered shrubs and native trees on the shores of the San Antonio River. The event took place near the headquarters of ADARSA. This activity served to put into practice the knowledge acquired by children throughout the year, environmental work given by teachers and managers in the same school. (Information provided by Marco Ferrero, of ADARSA). The photos will go in the next newsletter.

News

Richardi Sebastian is the new community ranger hired to replace Emily. Will work in coordination with Joaquin environmental issues Cuesta Blanca. Sebastian will be walking every Saturday and Sunday, along environments with volunteer rangers, and will also work three days a week in the Commune. Will soon have his ranger uniform.

Bar FATF and the regulation of noise pollution

Leon and his family, the new FATF bar dealers were notified by the rangers about the resolution of noise. Furthermore, the municipality does not enable as hostel, but as a bar, which has quite different implications in terms of advertising they can do. The most important thing is that Leon said the best disposition to adapt to our rules of conduct and regulations. He assured us that will follow directions of park rangers in relation to the volume of music and disposal of waste. In the picture you can see Leon, back to the left. The green shirt boy is the expert sound, which will assemble the layout of the speakers, which are small and functional, so that the sound does not leave the premises. The bar will be operational on Saturday 11.

interpretation Trail

The community is getting the signs made for the trail Emiliano interpretation. Soon we will have it enabled, and the visitor will be able to cross it, knowing the main species of trees in our mountain forests.

The importance of environmental policy

Magoo told me, a resident of San Antonio who often come to Cuesta Blanca, a Saturday was quietly playing with his kids in the river, and from the area of the Indian stone began to feel very loud music from a car. It was with one of his children to speak, and asked them if they had been so good posters. The boys, who were listening to The Round, apologized, turned off the music and not make it again throughout the afternoon. Magoo says he was very good to appeal to the lineup, which was a few steps and explicitly prohibits loud music. Posters, brochures, and the cooperation of the neighbors show the determination of the people and their authorities to conserve Cuesta Blanca as a quiet place. This encourages visitors themselves to help us in controlling and maintaining the site.

resolutions on clearing, litter and noise nuisance

As a result of a long participatory process residents currently have the support of three resolutions in force regulating the problems of garbage, clearing and noise. The Commune 've provided the text of the resolutions, and we hung these texts on our blog: http://vecinoscuestablanca.blogspot.com/ .

To facilitate compliance, Commune given a copy of the resolutions to Police . also is distributing the resolution on the establishment noises that could cause such a problem.

The resolutions came at the request of the neighbors, and were discussed widely by all those who want to participate. It is now important that all work together so that regulations are applied. This is important to read well and make resolutions asking the world community when we detect are not met.
